Based on a patent pending haptic enabled augmented reality system, HoST guides surgeons through operative steps, prompting and engaging them in an immersive cognitive environment. HoST uses the principles of checklist-based learning in which one can only proceed after successfully learning each step. User performance metrics are recorded so that surgeons can track their progress.
