Simulated Surgical Systems is pleased to introduce Hands-On Surgical Training (HoST), a ground breaking new technology for learning robot-assisted surgery procedures on RoSS.
Based on a patent pending haptic enabled augmented reality system, HoST guides surgeons through operative steps, prompting and engaging them in an immersive cognitive environment. HoST uses the principles of checklist-based learning in which one can only proceed after successfully learning each step. User performance metrics are recorded so that surgeons can track their progress.
- Radical Prostatectomy
- Radical Cystectomy
- Extended Lymph Node Dissection
- Simple Prostatectomy
- Radical Nephrectomy
- Partial Nephrectomy
Why Choose HoST?
- Learn new techniques
- Warm up before surgery
- Master challenging scenarios
- Track your performances
HoST is a result of 4 years of exceptional collaboration between a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, computer scientists, mechanical engineers, digital content creators, 3D animation experts and medical graphic artists. HoST has been test driven by a dedicated team of surgeons at various beta centers.
Our Team Speaks
"I am excited to work with a team that realizes the added value brought to this project through the addition of my illustrations. I believe they will be constructive by allowing the surgeon to more clearly envision these complex anatomical fields."

"With the introduction of our HoST-based procedure modules, Simulated Surgical Systems has positioned RoSS as the leading platform for robotic surgery training."
