RoSS Software Modules

RoSS™ comes with a comprehensive curriculum to train for motor and cognitive skills required to operate a surgical robot. RoSS also has a suite of simulated surgical procedures for a fellow or resident to follow, and recreate the surgical steps of an expert surgeon.

Basic Skills Module
Tissue Disecting
Improves hand eye coordination and teaches basic robotic surgical skills such as:
  • Tissue Cutting
  • Knot Tying
  • Needle Driving
  • Needle Manipulation
  • Suturing
  • Fourth Arm Manipulation
  • Vessel Clipping
Basic Orientation Module
Ball Placing
Develops competence in the use and maneuvering of camera access in the surgical field, proficient use of dominant and non- dominant hands, improved recognition of visual and depth perception, and the safe use of robotic surgical instruments:
  • Camera navigation
  • Robotic arm control and orientation
  • Safe synchronous camera and arm movement
  • Use and maneuverability of a fourth arm
  • Clutch and wristed instrumentation
Surgical Modules
Tissue Cutting
Recognizes and develops necessary technical and cognitive skills for specific steps during robot-assisted surgeries with virtual in-vivo anatomy based scenarios and procedures with various levels of complexity, including:
  • Radical Prostatectomy
  • Hysterectomy
  • Cystectomy
